CLUB MEETING 10/3/17 – IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Hi all you Cruiser Guys and Gals,
Please note that we are holding our October meeting this coming Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Ducktown Inn, Walsh Road, New Windsor, NY. The meeting begins at 7:30 PM, but I recommend that you folks arrive early to enjoy some good food while we are holding the meeting.
We ask that all members please try to attend this meeting for two important reasons:
- We will be nominating members for the various executive board positions for the upcoming 2018 season. Please note that, due to resignations of Gene Bienskie, club Secretary, and Don Weddell, club Seargent at Arms, we will need some members to step up and help fill these positions.
- Mike has much to discuss and present to members regarding the future plans for our club, cruise night locations and other matters that will need members input.
We look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming meeting.
Gene Bienskie – Secretary
Saturday Night Cruisers Car Club
The Saturday Night Cruisers will be meeting on June 24th, 2017 at our new location:
New York Life Insurance Company Parking Lot.
460 Temple Hill Rd.
New Windsor, NY 12553
PO Box 4746, New Windsor, New York, 12553
History of the Club:
Club name is the Saturday Night Cruisers Car Club. The Saturday Night Cruisers were founded in 2008 and incorporated in 2009.
The Car Club began as a group of car enthusiasts who joined together to share their interest in classic cars. The club promotes a family atmosphere for not only members, but for spectators as well. It is all about a fun night out for not only the car owners, but their families as well.
Purpose of the Club:
The purpose of the Saturday Night Cruisers is to provide a friendly and fun atmosphere to everyone in the community. Every year the Car Club takes on a charity group to help raise money for that group and then present them with the proceeds. For example, in the past the Saturday Night Cruisers Car Club has helped raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for which the club was awarded the Golden Sneaker Award in 2009, along with St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital. Every year the Saturday Night Cruisers Car Club puts on a 9/11 car show. The cub donates those proceeds to the New York Police and Fire Widows and Childrens benefit funds as well as the New Windsor Ambulance Corps. These are just some of the community causes that we, as a club, have been and will continue to be involved with.
Club Meeting Information:
The Car club meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at The Ducktown Inn on Walsh Road in New Windsor, New York.
These meetings are where it all happens and the club members discuss what they will be doing for the upcoming season. We encourage not only members of the community who have vehicles but also members of the community that do not have vehicles as the Saturday Night Cruisers are all about raising money for the various charities that we support.
Not only does the car club have their own cruise night and car shows, they also attend other cruiser and car shows, as well as Charity Fund Raisers.
The Saturday Night Cruisers Car Club are seeking a new venue for the 2017 Season.
